NEDOROSTEK STOOL

This kitchen stool was made for a gourmet cook who wanted a place for her guests to sit and visit with her while she cooks.

The strongly rippled grain of this curly Maple wood is enhanced by the careful application of aniline dye. Unlike pigment stain, aniline dye colors the wood grain itself.

Although time consuming to accomplish, nothing sparks figured wood to life like this technique, followed by multiple coats of a hand-rubbed mix of custom made oil and varnish.
