DePAULO-ALTHOFF CHAIRS
This set of six chairs were built to sit around a Cherry DINING TABLE I made from a single log of Cherry. Ray and Joanne came to the shop several times to collaborate in the design of their chairs, and the final result is theirs as well as mine. |

All the parts for these chairs were cut from 2" thick planks of Cherry wood. The seat rails are curved and bowed, and joined with visible finger joints. Mortise and tenon joinery throughout is pegged with Walnut pegs. The curved and sculpted arms fit under the table apron when the chairs are around the table. |

The leather upholstery was expertly applied using traditional materials and techniques.
